Every piece on Kantha.Store is hand-stitched by our artisans only after you place your order — nothing is pre-made or kept in stock. This is what makes each saree genuinely one-of-a-kind, but it also means a few things work a little differently from regular off-the-shelf shopping.

Payment

• You pay 25% of the total price as an advance booking amount at checkout.
• The remaining 75% is due before dispatch. We'll reach out via WhatsApp/email with a secure payment link once your saree is ready.

Production & Dispatch

• Every order takes up to 1 month to complete, as each piece is individually hand-stitched by our artisans in Santiniketan.
• We'll keep you updated on progress and notify you as soon as your saree is ready to ship.

Cancellations

• Since your advance puts a real artisan to work, orders can be cancelled for a full refund of the advance amount only within 24 hours of payment.
• Once stitching has begun (after the 24-hour window), the 25% advance becomes non-refundable, as it reflects materials and artisan labour already committed to your order.

If We Can't Complete Your Order

• In the rare case that we're unable to complete your exact order (for example, due to raw material unavailability), you'll receive a full refund of your advance payment — no questions asked.

Handmade Means Human — And Human Means Beautifully Imperfect

• Every piece you see in our photographs is real — but light changes, and so does every screen. The colour in your hands may carry a slightly warmer or deeper tone than what you saw on your screen. That's the nature of natural fibres meeting natural light.
• The blouse, jewellery, or styling you see on our models is for visual reference only and is not included with the product, unless explicitly mentioned in the product description.

From the Artisan's Hands to Your Doorstep

Once your order is confirmed, our team begins quality-checking your piece within 1-2 working days. Every product is inspected by hand before it leaves us — for thread, for finish, for the small details that machines can't catch.

• Dispatch: Within 2-3 working days of order confirmation
• Estimated delivery: 5-7 days within India, 10-15 days for international orders
• Tracking details are shared via [WhatsApp/Email] the moment your piece ships

We consider an order complete only when it reaches you safely and you're happy with it — not a day before.

RETURN, REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

Our Promise, In Plain Words

We make each piece by hand, in small batches, often by a single artisan working over days or weeks. Because of this, we ask you to choose thoughtfully — but we also stand behind every piece we send.

You can request a return or exchange if:

1. The product arrives damaged, defective, or visibly different in construction from what was ordered
2. The product does not match the description or photographs on our site in any material way

What we need from you:

Please write to us at achintya.rintu@gmail.com email or message us on WhatsApp at +91 9474704766 within 48-72 hours of delivery, along with clear photos of the issue. This helps us resolve it quickly — and helps us hold our artisans to the standard they deserve to be held to.

Process & Timelines:

• Cancellation: You may cancel your order within 1 hour of placing it, no questions asked
• Dispute window: Must be raised within 3 days of delivery
• Return window: Product must be shipped back within 7 days of delivery, in original condition with the original bill
• Refunds: Processed within 7-10 working days, directly to your original payment method or bank account, once we receive the returned piece

What we don't accept returns for:

Colour variation due to screen/lighting, or natural design variation that comes from handmade construction — both are explained above, and both are part of what makes your piece one of one.

Dry clean only. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Slight colour and pattern variations are natural — they are a hallmark of authentic handcraft.

Never pull on a loose thread from the embroidery. If you spot a snag, gently massage or smooth out the surrounding fabric to even the tension.
